Meet Michaela, AFG (Associate Fairy Godmother)

Get to know our new team of Associate Fairy Godmothers through their responses in the following interview. Next up is Michaela!

Q: What school did you go to and what did you study?

A: I graduated from High Point University in North Carolina in 2018. I studied Communication and Marketing!

Q: Tell me about your current/former experience as a Disney Cast Member and what you've learned from it.

A: Formerly, I was a Cast Member with Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings. I learned so much from this role but what stands out the most is the importance of connecting with couples, the ability to be flexible in any situation, and to always remember the magic that a wedding brings!

Q: What was the most memorable and magical experience that you've had as a Cast Member?

A: I am so lucky to have made so many wonderful memories as a Disney Cast Member. I was able to truly connect and make magic for so many couples on such an important day in their lives. It is hard to choose just one moment. I will forever cherish the memories of fluffing a bride's train before she walks down the aisle, encouraging a flower girl that she has the confidence to strut down the aisle and toss those petals, helping calm the nerves of a parent of the couple , and wishing the couples well as they ride off to their happily ever after. I cannot wait to continue making these memories with rêverie events!

Q: What are you most excited for as an Associate Fairy Godmother with rêverie events?

A: I am most excited to have the chance to meet and work with the rêverie events couples. Throughout my time in the weddings industry, what I have grown to love most is the people. I love the opportunity to connect with clients from all around the world and help bring their dream wedding to life. Of course, all the beautiful details of a wedding are beyond exciting, but working in the wedding world would not be nearly as special without the people whose dreams we are able to make come true!

Q: Describe YOUR dream wedding. (Budget and partner's opinion are not an option)

A: My dream wedding was my actual wedding! Ever since I was a little girl, I dreamed of a Christmas inspired wedding at the Mount Washington Resort in New Hampshire. On December 12, 2020, that dream came true. Even through all of the challenges and setbacks of planning a wedding in 2020, I would not have changed a thing. We were married in front of snow covered mountains and celebrated with our closest family and friends. The day was beyond magical and by far the dreamiest part, was marrying my sweet husband.
